Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of Car Deals websites, mobile apps, installable web apps and any related tooling (together, the “Platform”). By creating an account, posting a listing, or continuing to use the Platform, you confirm that you have read and accept these terms and the Privacy Policy.

If you use the Platform on behalf of a dealership, company or other business, you confirm you are authorised to bind that business to these terms, and “you” includes that business.

If you do not accept these terms, do not create an account and stop using the Platform.

Car Deals is an online marketplace and technology platform. We provide the digital space where members publish vehicles, vehicle parts, accessories and vehicle-related services, post buyer requests, and contact one another.

Car Deals is not:

• a buyer, seller, owner or importer of any item listed on the Platform;
• an agent, broker, valuer, auctioneer or intermediary with authority to negotiate, conclude or guarantee any transaction on anyone’s behalf;
• a custodian, storier, insurer, transporter or delivery provider — we never take possession, custody, control or delivery of any vehicle, part or item;
• a lender, insurer or warranty provider.

Every listing is published by a member. Any contract, payment, handover, inspection, registration or dispute is strictly between the buyer and the seller (or between a customer and a service provider). Car Deals is not a party to that agreement and does not supervise, witness or enforce it.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a contract in Ghana.

You must give accurate, current and complete information — your real name or registered business name, a working email address, and a phone and WhatsApp number that you control. One person or business may hold one account. Do not share your login details with anyone.

You are responsible for everything done through your account, including activity you did not authorise, until you tell us about a security problem at support@cardealsghana.com.

To keep the marketplace free of bots, fake accounts and repeat fraudsters, we ask members to complete checks before sensitive actions such as viewing or contacting a seller, publishing a listing, making an offer, or posting a service request. These checks include a quick camera “human check”, phone confirmation and, for dealers, a business and identity review.

• Completing a check confirms only that your account appears to belong to a real person or a business whose documents were reviewed at that time. It is not an endorsement, an insurance policy, or a promise that the person will act honestly.
• A verified dealer badge means our team reviewed the submitted business and identity information. It does not make Car Deals responsible for that dealer’s conduct, stock, prices or after-sales behaviour.
• Verification can be withdrawn if information proves false, if the account is misused, or if we can no longer reach the member.

Verification images and documents are handled under the Privacy Policy: they are used for the check, are not shown on your profile, and are not published to other members.

You are fully responsible for what you publish. You must own the item, or be expressly authorised by the owner to sell it, and you must have the right to sell it in Ghana.

Every listing must be truthful and complete, including:

• the correct make, model, year, mileage, transmission, fuel and condition;
• whether the vehicle is brand new, foreign used or locally used;
• your real asking price, and any defects, accident history or document issues;
• photos you took yourself or are licensed to use, taken from your own stock — not stock images or another seller’s photos.

You keep ownership of your content. By posting, you grant Car Deals a free, non-exclusive licence to host, store, display, reproduce, crop, resize, watermark and share your listing content, including photos and walkaround videos, so the Platform can work — including on search results, category pages, social previews, partner channels and Car Deals’ official social media accounts (such as TikTok, YouTube, Instagram and Facebook) to promote your listing to more buyers.

Listings are reviewed before publication. We may refuse, remove, correct or demote any listing without notice, and we are not obliged to pre-screen everything members publish.

You are responsible for all taxes, duties, levies, registration fees and transfer costs arising from your sale, and for making sure the item may lawfully be sold.

Buyer requests, offers, messages and reviews are member-to-member tools. Nothing on the Platform creates a binding contract: a sale exists only when you and the other party agree directly, and you should record that agreement in writing (price, item, condition, payment and handover).

Always inspect a vehicle or part in person, test it, and confirm its documents (including DVLA/registration status and any customs paperwork for imported vehicles) before paying. Do not send money — in full or as a “deposit” — to someone you have not verified in person or by a verified dealer profile.

• Meet in a public, safe place and bring someone with you when inspecting a vehicle.
• Never pay in advance to a stranger, and never pay through an unofficial channel.
• Car Deals staff will never ask for your password, one-time code (OTP), or bank details.
• The official Car Deals call line is +233 30 244 7176. Anything asking for money from another number is not us — report it to support@cardealsghana.com.
• Report any listing, message or person you suspect of fraud so we can act quickly.

Browsing and basic posting are free. Car Deals may offer paid plans and paid promotional placements (for example featured or sponsored positions). Prices are shown on the Plans page before you pay, and we may change them with notice.

• Paid promotions are advertising. They buy visibility, not a guarantee of calls, offers or sales, and placement rotates fairly between eligible listings.
• Payments are processed by a licensed payment provider on our behalf. We never store your full card number.
• Fees are charged up front and are not refundable for a partial period, unused impressions, or a change of mind, unless the law or a written promise from us says otherwise.
• We may suspend or withdraw a promotion, without refund, where the listing breaches these terms, is removed, or the account is restricted.
• Car rentals are paid directly between the renter and the owner, by cash or Mobile Money. Car Deals does not collect, hold, refund or guarantee rental payments or security deposits, and is not a party to the rental agreement.
• Promotional status can only be applied by Car Deals after a payment is confirmed on our side. A message on your own device is not proof of payment.

You must not:

• post a fake, misleading or duplicate listing, or advertise an item you do not intend to sell;
• use bait pricing, hidden conditions, or a price that changes once a buyer responds;
• impersonate another person or business, or claim a verification you do not hold;
• use another seller’s photographs, or upload images you have no right to use;
• try to bypass photo-duplicate checks, posting limits, verification steps, or reward rules;
• manipulate featured rotation, share rewards, reviews or ratings by any automated or collusive means;
• harass, threaten, defame or discriminate against another member;
• sell stolen, undeclared, smuggled or unsafe goods, counterfeit parts, or anything illegal in Ghana;
• scrape, crawl, mirror, reverse-engineer or feed the Platform into an external service without written permission;
• interfere with the Platform’s security, rate limits, or offline behaviour, or upload malware;
• move a transaction off-platform in order to defraud, or to avoid fees you have agreed to.

We can warn, limit, suspend or end an account, remove content, revoke a badge, or refuse service where we reasonably believe these terms, the law, or the safety of members are at risk. Where practical we will tell you why at support@cardealsghana.com, and you may reply with information you want us to consider.

We may also report suspected crime to the Ghana Police Service, the Economic and Organised Crime Office, the Data Protection Commission, or other authorities, and disclose the account records needed for that report.

The Car Deals name, logo, layout, software, database and compiled content belong to Car Deals or its licensors. You may not copy, resell, license or imitate them. Brand names and vehicle marks in listings belong to their owners and are used only to describe vehicles.

If you believe content on the Platform infringes your rights, send the details to support@cardealsghana.com and we will investigate.

The Platform may link to maps, payment pages, social networks or partner services. Once you leave Car Deals, their terms and privacy practices apply. We are not responsible for their content, prices, accuracy or conduct.

The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, Car Deals gives no warranty about availability, speed, error-free operation, or the accuracy, quality, safety, legality or existence of anything a member lists, and no warranty that a buyer or seller will perform.

We do not control fraud, and we cannot guarantee that every member who appears genuine is genuine. Your own inspection and judgement remain essential.

Car Deals is not liable for any loss arising from a transaction between members, from content another member published, from a verification outcome, or from a decision we made in good faith to protect the marketplace. This includes loss of profit, business, data, opportunity or goodwill, and any indirect or consequential loss.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you for anything arising from these terms is limited to the greater of the fees you paid Car Deals in the twelve months before the claim, or GH₵1,000.

Nothing here excludes liability that Ghanaian law does not allow to be limited.

You will cover Car Deals and its team against claims, losses, costs and legal fees arising from your listings, your conduct on the Platform, your breach of these terms, or your violation of another person’s rights or of the law.

You may stop using Car Deals at any time and ask us to close your account by writing to support@cardealsghana.com. We will remove active listings and handle your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy.

Some records are kept after closure where we are required to do so by law or to prevent repeat fraud, and any fees already earned remain payable.

We may update these terms as the Platform grows. The version in force is the one published on this page, dated “Last updated” above. Where a change materially affects your rights, we will try to notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use Car Deals after a change is published means you accept it.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Before going to court, both sides will attempt in good faith to resolve the matter through the support team for at least fourteen days.

Unresolved disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ghana, with the Commercial Division in Accra as the first venue for commercial claims.

If any clause is found unenforceable, the rest of these terms continue in force and the clause is read as narrowly as possible to remain lawful.
